She had thought it was a Pentex operation... a creepy corporation spreading misery and death everywhere. She'd been all too willing to investigate, and maybe ruin some plans while she was at it.
But it hadn't been Pentex and they hadn't cared about not drawing attention. She wasn't even sure what kind of gun had been used on her but the wounds made her lose enough blood she frenzied and the next thing she knew she was in a sterile white room.
Well, this wasn't going to do.
Learning obfuscate was the best thing she had never done, she waited hidden and silent by the door and waited...and waited. Edith bit her lip worried that dawn would come before someone opened the cell but finally someone did.
"What the...she's gone?!"
"She can't be gone, let out of the way."
The first man in a white coat moved out of the doorway to allow a black man in body armor to walk in and point a gun in all the corners of the room, he started yelling in radio raising the alarm. Edith slipped out of the door and started trying to look for a way out just as the alarms started blaring.
